Though you may not have another child think of all the things you will be missing in life if you end it now. I'm also in the middle of a custody battle for my daughter. Her mom left her on my door step when my daughter was born and I was in Iraq, my mom watched her up until I came home and now that I'm home all my ex wants to do is make my life miserable by taking the one thing that made me remember why I was there in the first place. Randall, that is good that you are going to court for him, I'm hoping that you can get him. As for your daughter hopefully they will decide what is best for her. Is her father in the picture at all? If not that may work in your favor if her mother hasn't taken care of her like she should

As for the daughter, if her biological father cannot be found, and if her mother loses parental rights she will go into foster care. OR if the child has lived with you for (I believe 6 months) and been able to thrive as a child should, you can file for adoption.
